Anna Zheleznyakova is a Russian trained classical ballerina excelling in the Russian classical repertoire.  A student of such great Russian ballet professors as S. Messerer, N. Zolotova, N. Silvanovich, Anna was quickly noticed for her lyrical, fluid lines, technical execution & expression and was given challenging and demanding roles early in her career.  Especially acclaimed for her Giselle, Raymonda, and Dying Swan, Anna has danced the full range of classical roles such as Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, La Esmeralda, La Bayadere, Don Quixote, Nutcracker as well as various solos, pas de deux’s, and miniatures.  There have been several roles made for her such as Schubert’s Serenade, Bocelli’s Time to Say Goodbye, and Nyman’s The End Of The Affair to name a few.  For many of her roles, Anna has been under the guidance and tutelage of T. Fesenko (Mikhailovsky Theatre, Teatro Colon), G. Komleva (Mariinsky Theatre, St. Petersburg Conservatory), L. Butskova (Bolshoi Theatre, Olympic Ice Dance Choreographer/Ballet Coach) and has worked with such masters as V. Semenov.  While still dancing, Anna entered one of the most prestigious universities of the arts, St. Petersburg Conservatory, under the directorship of N. Dolgushin studying under professors A. Pestova, N. Yananis, T. Buyanovskaya, and G. Komleva.

Anna has choreographed many miniatures, full evenings of classical repertoire, and a full length Nutcracker.  She also staged the Engagement Scene from La Bayadere and the Dream Scene from Don Quixote.  In 2004, Anna staged “An Affair with Russian Ballet” dedicated to Russian classical repertoire and included three world premiers.   In 2009, Anna was invited to work in conjunction with Greensboro Ice House and Greensboro Symphony to choreograph and train dancers for the Sealy/Fox 8 Concert at Greensboro Coliseum.  This was the first time ballet dancers and figure skaters would perform together in this event.  Ms. Zheleznyakova often works with skaters at Greensboro Ice House and other rinks.

For over fifteen years Anna has been working in the Triad, North Carolina area training and producing dancers that receive the highest honors at competitions, been accepted into colleges majoring in Dance, have become teachers (now inspiring others), and professional dancers both regionally and nationally.  Two of Ms. Zheleznyakova’s students were given the leading role Sugar Plum Fairy in Triangle Youth Ballet’s production of the Nutcracker, in their second year.

Anna Zheleznyakova continues to be at the forefront of the new developments and demands in techniques creating a facility and atmosphere that nurtures every aspect of training to produce performers of the highest caliber, prepared to excel in their given disciplines.
